AKDT
AKDT stands for Alaska Daylight Time. It is a daylight saving time zone observed in the U.S. state of Alaska. AKDT is UTC-8. During standard time, Alaska observes Alaska Standard Time (AKST), which is UTC-9. Alaska transitions to daylight saving time on the second Sunday in March and reverts to standard time on the first Sunday in November. This time zone is used by most of Alaska's populated areas, including Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Juneau. However, the westernmost Aleutian Islands observe Hawaii Aleutian Standard Time (HST), which does not observe daylight saving time and remains on UTC-10 year-round. AKDT is two hours behind Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) and one hour behind Pacific Standard Time (PST).
