ABSsüsteemides
ABSsüsteemides refers to Anti-lock Braking Systems (ABS) in Swedish. An Anti-lock Braking System is a safety system that prevents a vehicle's wheels from locking up during braking. It works by detecting and preventing skidding, thereby improving vehicle control and reducing stopping distances on slippery surfaces. The system uses sensors to monitor the speed of each wheel. If a wheel is detected to be slowing down too rapidly, indicating it is about to lock up, the ABS momentarily reduces brake pressure to that wheel, allowing it to rotate again. This process is repeated rapidly, pulsing the brakes to maintain traction.
The primary benefit of an ABS is enhanced vehicle stability and steering control during emergency braking.
