59386
59386 is a minor planet in the outer region of the asteroid belt, approximately 10 kilometers in diameter. It was discovered on 24 September 1999, by astronomers of the Lincoln Near-Earth Asteroid Research team at the Lincoln Laboratory's Experimental Test Site near Socorro, New Mexico. The discovery was part of the Lincoln Laboratory's ongoing effort to identify and track near-Earth objects. The minor planet has a semi-major axis of 3.17 astronomical units and an orbital period of 5.66 years. Its orbit has an eccentricity of 0.14 and an inclination of 10.5 degrees with respect to the ecliptic. The spectral type of 59386 is not yet determined, but it is likely to be a C-type asteroid, which are common in the outer asteroid belt. The rotation period of 59386 is not yet known, but it is expected to be in the range of a few hours to a few days. The asteroid is not considered a potentially hazardous object, as its orbit does not bring it close to Earth.
