40rammeverk

40rammeverk, also known as 40mm anti-aircraft rammer or Quad 40 rammer, is a class of anti-aircraft gun systems that were used by the Swedish Army during World War II and the Cold War period. The name "rammeverk" translates to "rammer" or "gun unit" in English.

The 40rammeverk system consisted of a quadruple 40mm Bofors anti-aircraft gun turret, mounted on a central rotating platform. The turret was crewed by eight gunners and was designed to provide high-volume, high-rate fire against enemy aircraft. The system was originally developed in the 1920s by the Swedish company Bofors, and several variants were produced over the years.

The 40rammeverk system saw extensive use by the Swedish Army during the Winter War between Finland and the Soviet Union from 1939 to 1940. It also saw service during World War II, with Sweden's official policy of neutrality during the conflict. After the war, the system continued to be used by the Swedish Army, with modernizations and upgrades implemented in the 1950s and 1960s.
