Ölsystem

Ölsystem is a German term that translates to "oil system" in English. It refers to the entire network of components within an engine or other machinery that is responsible for lubricating moving parts, cooling, cleaning, and sealing. The primary function of an ölsystem is to reduce friction and wear between components, thereby extending the lifespan of the machinery and improving its efficiency.

The key components of a typical ölsystem include the oil pan, which stores the lubricant; the oil pump, which circulates the oil; the oil filter, which removes contaminants; and various oil passages, galleries, and channels that direct the oil to where it is needed. In some applications, an oil cooler may also be included to regulate oil temperature.
