ÓbudaBékásmegyer

ÓbudaBékásmegyer is the 3rd district of Budapest, Hungary. It was formed in 1950 by the merger of the independent towns of Óbuda and Békásmegyer, along with the village of Csillaghegy. The district is located on the western bank of the Danube River.

Historically, Óbuda is one of the oldest settlements in Hungary, with Roman ruins from the ancient city of Aquincum still visible. Békásmegyer, on the other hand, developed as a more modern residential area, particularly in the latter half of the 20th century, with large housing estates being constructed.
