The name 'osszepréselitek' is derived from the Hungarian language where 'összeprésel' roughly translates to 'press together', likely in reference to the mineral's formation process and crystal structure. Osszepréselitek is a complex sulfohalide mineral with the chemical formula Ag13Pb14Sb5S36.

Its crystal structure exhibits a trigonal crystal system, with blades and hexagonal aggregates forming on occasion. The mineral is believed to have originated from a high-temperature, magmatic process. Osszepréselitek exhibits a brown to gray color, both internally and externally. It is transparent when cut in a specific plane, but in most other situations, the mineral remains opaque.
