Årskurs, plural årskurser, is a term used in Sweden to denote a specific year level within a school. In grundskolan (compulsory schooling), årskurs 1 through årskurs 9 correspond to the first to the ninth year of schooling; förskoleklass is an optional preparatory year before årskurs 1. In gymnasiet (upper secondary), students progress through årskurs 1–3, corresponding to the first, second, and third year of upper secondary education.
