Ühikmatriisiks

Ühikmatriisiks, also known as the identity matrix, is a square matrix that is used in various fields of mathematics and its applications. It is defined as a matrix with ones on the main diagonal and zeros elsewhere. The identity matrix is denoted by I or I_n, where n represents the size of the matrix (i.e., n x n). The identity matrix has the property that when it is multiplied by any matrix A of the same size, the result is the original matrix A. This property is expressed as IA = AI = A. The identity matrix is also the multiplicative identity in the set of square matrices of a given size, meaning that it leaves any matrix unchanged when multiplied by it. The identity matrix is a fundamental concept in linear algebra and is used in various applications, such as solving systems of linear equations, finding inverses of matrices, and performing transformations in geometry.
