Íslovkách

Íslovkách, often translated as adverbs, are a part of speech that modify verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs. In Czech grammar, íslovkách are crucial for adding detail and nuance to sentences. They can express a wide range of meanings, including manner (e.g., rychle - quickly), time (e.g., dnes - today), place (e.g., tam - there), frequency (e.g., často - often), and degree (e.g., velmi - very).

Many íslovkách are formed by adding suffixes to adjectives. For instance, the adjective "rychlý" (fast) can become the adverb "rychle" (quickly). However, there are also many irregular íslovkách and those derived from other parts of speech.
