"Éghajlattanban" is a Hungarian term that translates to "climate change" in English. It refers to the long-term alterations in statistical distribution of weather patterns, primarily an increase in global temperatures. This phenomenon is primarily caused by human activities, such as the burning of fossil fuels, deforestation, and industrial processes, which release heat-trapping greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.

The effects of éghajlattanban are far-reaching and impact various aspects of the environment and society. Globally, it leads to rising sea levels due to the melting of polar ice caps and glaciers, which threatens coastal communities and low-lying island nations. It also contributes to more frequent and severe weather events, such as heatwaves, storms, droughts, and wildfires.
