zählendes
Zählendes is the German present participle form of the verb zählen (to count), used in inflected form to agree with gender, number and case. As an attributive adjective it appears as zählender (masculine), zählende (feminine or plural) and zählendes (neuter), for example ein zählender Beobachter (a counting observer) or das zählende Ergebnis (the countable result). When capitalized as Zählendes it can function as a nominalized participle denoting "that which counts" or "the act/thing of counting" in an abstract sense.
Grammatically, zählendes serves both adjectival and verbal roles: it can describe an ongoing action (someone counting)
