závry

Závry is a term occasionally encountered in Czech texts, but it is not part of standard modern Czech vocabulary. In contemporary usage, the plural for the word závěr (meaning end, conclusion) is závěry. The form závry is typically regarded as a nonstandard variant, dialectal remnant, or a spelling error rather than a separate lexical item.

In Slovak, the corresponding plural of záver is závery, and závry does not constitute a standard Slovak form. When authors use závry, readers should consider závěry as the intended word. The distinction mirrors the general Czech–Slovak divergence in accentuation and vowel quality.
