zásuvka is the Czech word for an electrical socket or outlet. It is a female connector designed to receive the male prongs of an electrical plug, allowing electrical devices to draw power from the building's electrical system. In Czech households and buildings, zásuvky are a ubiquitous feature, providing access to electricity for lighting, appliances, and electronic devices.

The standard type of zásuvka found in the Czech Republic, as well as most of mainland Europe, is the Type E socket.
