Zglobalizowani is a term used in Polish-language discourse to describe people or communities whose social, economic, and cultural life has been shaped by globalization. The expression derives from the verb zglobalizować (to globalize) and its past participle zglobalizowani, used as a noun or adjective to indicate the state of having been globalized. It is not a formal category of sociology but appears in journalism, policy discussions, and cultural studies as a shorthand for transnational connectivity.

Usage and scope: The term is typically applied to groups with strong links across borders—through migration, education, work, or digital media—who participate in global markets and communications and who experience cultural flows beyond their national context. It can imply both opportunities, such as access to information and networks, and challenges, such as exposure to economic volatility or cultural homogenization.

Criticism and debates: Critics warn that the label can homogenize diverse populations by implying a uniform set of traits tied to globalization. It may obscure differences in class, ethnicity, and country of origin, and can carry normative judgments about what constitutes an “advanced” or desirable global condition. Proponents argue it highlights common effects of globalization on identity, labor, and culture.
