Ystävyydessä is a Finnish rock band formed in 1988 in Helsinki. The band is known for their blend of heavy metal and hard rock, with a distinctive sound that incorporates elements of power metal and progressive rock. Ystävyydessä is composed of four members: Jukka-Pekka Miettinen (vocals), Jukka Nevalainen (guitars), Jari Sinkkonen (bass), and Janne Joutsenlahti (drums).

The band's debut album, "Ystävyydessä", was released in 1991 and quickly gained a following in the Finnish metal scene. Their subsequent albums, such as "Kuninkaan kuolema" (1993), "Kuninkaan paluu" (1995), and "Kuninkaan paluu II" (1997), further solidified their reputation as one of Finland's most influential metal bands. These albums showcased the band's technical proficiency and their ability to craft complex, yet accessible songs.

Ystävyydessä is also known for their live performances, which are characterized by high energy and intricate stage shows. The band has toured extensively both in Finland and internationally, sharing the stage with other prominent metal acts.
