ysts
YSTS, an acronym for Young Scientist Training Scheme, is a program designed to foster the development of young scientists in various fields. Initiated by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, YSTS aims to provide undergraduate and postgraduate students with hands-on research experience, mentorship, and exposure to cutting-edge scientific research. The scheme typically involves a period of 10-12 weeks during the summer, where students work on a research project under the guidance of experienced faculty members. Participants are selected based on their academic performance and research interests, ensuring a diverse and talented pool of young scientists. YSTS not only enhances the students' research skills but also encourages them to pursue higher education and careers in science. The program has been instrumental in nurturing numerous scientists who have made significant contributions to their respective fields.
