Warmbodied is a term used to describe animals that are able to generate and maintain a stable internal body temperature independently of their environment. This physiological process is known as endothermy. Warmblooded animals, also called homeotherms, can regulate their body temperature through metabolic processes, such as breaking down food for energy, and behavioral adaptations, like seeking shade or sunlight. This internal regulation allows them to remain active across a wider range of environmental conditions compared to cold-blooded animals.
