waargenomene
Waargenomene is a Dutch term used to describe something that has been perceived or observed. It can function as an adjective describing perceptual content, or as a noun phrase referring to what has been perceived. The form derives from the verb waarnemen (to perceive or notice), with waargenomene serving to mark the outcome or content of that perceptual act. In academic Dutch, the term is found in discussions of perception, cognition, and phenomenology, where distinctions are drawn between waargenomene data and reality independent of perception. It is more common in formal or technical texts; in everyday language, waargenomen (perceived) is the more common form. Examples include phrases such as de waargenomene indruk (a perceived impression) or een waargenomene gebeurtenis (a perceived event). See also waarneming, waarnemen, perceptie, fenomenologie.
