An engine's torque curve, which plots torque against engine speed (RPM), shows how this force varies across the operating range. The peak torque value represents the highest point on this curve.

Higher vääntömaksimi generally translates to better low-end grunt, meaning the engine can easily overcome resistance from a standstill or at low speeds.
