Värjäyskemikaalit, also known as dyeing chemicals or dyestuffs, are substances used to impart color to materials such as textiles, paper, leather, and plastics. These chemicals are broadly categorized into natural dyes, derived from plants, insects, or minerals, and synthetic dyes, which are manufactured through chemical processes. Natural dyes have a long history of use, offering a range of subtle and complex hues, but often suffer from limitations in lightfastness and color consistency.
