välittäjähiukkasia
Välittäjähiukkasia, known in English as force carrier particles or gauge bosons, are fundamental particles in physics that mediate the fundamental forces of nature. These particles are the carriers of the interactions between other matter particles. For example, photons are the välittäjähiukkasia of the electromagnetic force, responsible for interactions like light and electricity. The strong nuclear force, which binds atomic nuclei together, is mediated by gluons. The weak nuclear force, involved in radioactive decay, is carried by the W and Z bosons. Gravitons are hypothesized to be the välittäjähiukkasia of gravity, though they have not yet been experimentally observed. These particles are distinct from matter particles (fermions) and have integer spin. Their existence and properties are a cornerstone of the Standard Model of particle physics.
