vigastatakse

Vigastatakse is an Estonian verb form meaning “is injured” or “gets injured.” It is the present passive form of the transitive verb vigastama, which means “to injure.”

In Estonian, passive forms are built with the suffix -takse, and vigastatakse does not indicate the agent who causes the injury. The agent can be omitted or clarified with a by-phrase if needed. The active counterpart is vigastab (he/she injures). The past passive form is vigastati, used when describing that injuries occurred in the past.
