Verkoille is a fictional coastal municipality created for world-building and storytelling. It is imagined to lie on a rocky peninsula facing a sheltered harbor in the northern archipelago of the fictional country Nordmark.

The municipality covers about 58 square kilometers and has a population of roughly 4,900 people. The coastline features rocky cliffs, small beaches, and a central harbour, with a mix of fishing harbours, quays, and wooden warehouses.

Verkoille is governed by a nine-member municipal council and a mayor, with elections every four years. The council oversees committees for fisheries, urban planning, transport, and culture.

The economy centers on fishing and small-scale fish processing, timber, and craft tourism. The harbour connects to nearby islands by regular ferries, and a single road loop encircles the town.

Origins lie in 17th-century fishing settlements; notable buildings include the late-19th-century town hall and a historic seawall. A major rebuilding after a 1953 storm shaped the current layout.

The annual Verkoille Net Festival celebrates maritime heritage with demonstrations, markets, and a regatta. The town preserves a maritime dialect, a lighthouse, and the Seawall Promenade as central landmarks.
