Varmentavan is a village and municipality in Armavir Province, Armenia. It forms one of the local self-governing communities within the province and is governed by a mayor and a community council elected by residents. Geographically, Varmentavan sits in the western Armenian highlands on the edge of the Ararat Plain, with a continental climate and elevations around 850–900 meters. The nearby landscape includes fields, small orchards, and low hills.

Historically, the name Varmentavan appears in regional records from the late medieval period, and the village preserves elements of traditional Armenian rural life. A 19th-century church and a number of khachkars indicate long-standing religious and cultural activity in the area.
