Undermonterade is a Swedish adjective meaning "mounted underneath" or "installed under a surface." It describes components that are affixed to the underside of another element, typically to achieve a flush appearance, protect surfaces, or simplify cleaning and access. The word is formed from under and monterad and is used across construction, architecture, and design contexts.

In practice, undermonterade installations are common in kitchen and bathroom design, such as undermonterad diskbänk (an undermount sink) where the sink is attached underneath the countertop so the edge is hidden. Other examples include undermonterade armaturer under cabinet lighting, or undermonterade fästen and panels mounted to the underside of a structure. In contrast, övermonterade (over-mounted) installations sit on top of the mounting surface, resulting in visible edges or brackets.

The term is used in singular and plural forms for different nouns, with undermonterad describing a single fixture and undermonterade used for plural nouns (undermonterade diskbänkar, undermonterade fästen).
