Työttömyysetuja are social benefits provided in Finland to individuals who are unemployed. Labor market support is a non-contributory benefit, meaning it is not dependent on previous earnings, and is paid by Kela, the Social Insurance Institution of Finland. To receive työttömyysetuja, an individual must be registered as a jobseeker with the employment and economic development office (TE-toimisto) and actively seek work. Conditions for receiving benefits include availability for work and participation in employment services.
