tsüklit

Tsüklit is the Estonian grammatical form of the noun tsükkel, meaning cycle, in the partitive singular. The partitive case in Estonian is used to express indefinite quantities and, after numerals, to mark the object of a sentence. Therefore tsüklit is the form used when referring to an unspecified or partial number of cycles, for example kolm tsüklit (three cycles). The nominative plural of the noun is tsüklid, meaning cycles. Tsükkel is typically treated as a loanword in Estonian, and tsüklit follows the standard pattern for Estonian nouns in inflection.
