trikuspidaali
Trikuspidaali refers to the tricuspid valve, one of the four valves in the heart. This valve is located between the right atrium and the right ventricle. Its primary function is to ensure that blood flows in only one direction, from the right atrium to the right ventricle, and to prevent backflow of blood into the right atrium during ventricular contraction. The tricuspid valve is composed of three leaflets, or cusps, which open to allow blood to pass through and close tightly to stop it from returning. Problems with the tricuspid valve can lead to tricuspid regurgitation, where the valve doesn't close properly, allowing blood to leak backward, or tricuspid stenosis, where the valve narrows and restricts blood flow. These conditions can affect the heart's ability to pump blood efficiently. The health of the tricuspid valve is an important aspect of overall cardiovascular function.
