triajuna
Triajuna is a small genus of flowering plants belonging to the family Arecaceae (palm family). The genus was first described in 1864 by the Swiss botanist Auguste P. Corry who collected specimens in the southwestern region of Ethiopia. Only two species are currently accepted by the World Checklist of Selected Plant Families: Triajuna australis and Triajuna robusta. Both species are characterized by their pinnate leaves, slender petioles and spiny catkins that produce small, fleshy drupes.
