Tresor is a German word meaning "treasure" or "vault." It is used in various contexts to denote secure storage or valuable objects. In popular culture, it is best known as the name of a Berlin-based electronic music club and a related record label.

Tresor the club was founded in 1991 by Dimitri Hegemann in Berlin and became a focal point of the city's post-reunification techno scene. The original venue was a basement space in the central district, housed in the vaults of a former department store, giving the club its name and a stark, industrial atmosphere. It attracted local and international artists and helped establish Berlin as a major center for techno.

The original site closed in the mid-2000s, and in 2007 Tresor reopened at Kraftwerk Berlin, a converted power plant on Köpenicker Straße in Mitte. The venue continued its program of techno and experimental electronic music and maintained the associated record label, Tresor Records, which released music by numerous artists over the years.

Today, Tresor remains a recognized symbol of Berlin's electronic music scene and continues to host performances and release music through its label. The term Tresor is also widely used in German to denote a safe or treasured object, and as a proper noun it can refer to other entities that adopt the name.
