This means the actual measured size of the part must be between 24.98 and 25.05. The top number, +0.05, represents the upper tolerance, and the bottom number, -0.02, represents the lower tolerance. These values are critical for interchangeable parts, allowing for mass production and consistent quality.

The absence of a tolerantielijn implies a general tolerance, which is usually defined elsewhere in the drawing's specifications or in a standard engineering document.
