Tingimusest is a form of the Estonian noun tingimus, which means condition, prerequisite or requirement. The ending -st marks the elative case, indicating origin or basis, so tingimusest translates roughly as “from the condition” or “on the basis of the condition.” It is most commonly found in formal, legal, or written language.
