Teos was an ancient Greek city-state located on the western coast of Asia Minor in Ionia. It sat on a natural harbor opposite the island of Chios and is near the modern Turkish town of Seferihisar in İzmir Province. As a member of the Ionian League, Teos participated in regional political and economic networks that connected many Ionia cities across the Aegean.
