tanimlanirlar

Tanimlanirlar is the Turkish present tense passive form of the verb tanımlamak, meaning to define. In normal Turkish orthography the form is tanımlanırlar, which translates to “they are defined.” The ASCII transliteration without diacritics is tanimlanirlar. The construction expresses that the subjects receive the action of defining, typically in formal, descriptive, or definitional contexts.

Morphology and form. In Turkish, the passive voice is created by adding a passive marker and the appropriate person ending. Tanimlanırlar specifically marks a third-person plural subject in the present tense. The form therefore indicates that multiple items or terms are defined by an agent (someone or something).
