Translational symmetry is found in patterns that repeat at regular intervals. If you slide a pattern by a certain distance in a specific direction and it looks the same, it has translational symmetry. Think of wallpaper patterns or a row of identical tiles.

Point symmetry, also known as inversion symmetry, exists if an object looks the same after being inverted through a central point. This means that for every point on the object, there is a corresponding point on the opposite side of the center at the same distance from the center. A lowercase 'h' has point symmetry.
