säästölamppu
Säästölamppu, also known as a compact fluorescent lamp (CFL), is a type of fluorescent lamp designed to replace incandescent light bulbs. It uses a similar principle of exciting mercury vapor with electricity to produce ultraviolet light, which then causes a phosphor coating on the inside of the bulb to emit visible light. The main advantage of säästölamppus over traditional incandescent bulbs is their significantly higher energy efficiency. They consume considerably less electricity to produce the same amount of light, leading to reduced energy bills and a lower carbon footprint.
Säästölamppus have a longer lifespan than incandescent bulbs, typically lasting between 8,000 and 15,000 hours, compared
Despite their advantages, säästölamppus do contain a small amount of mercury, which requires careful disposal. Many
