Sulet is a term used in a fictional setting to denote a language and a social practice associated with the Suleti people of Eldara, a coastal region in a widely published worldbuilding project. The term is not attested as a real-world language or place. In the fiction, Sulet functions as both a linguistic system and a cultural institution that helps define identity within the Suleti community.

Etymology: Within the imagined world, the word sulet is said to derive from Endari roots su- meaning “together” and let meaning “craft” or “practice.” This etymology is used in-world to emphasize communal skill and cooperation.

Language: Sulet is described as an agglutinative language with a primarily subject–verb–object word order. Its phonology features six vowels (a, e, i, o, u, and a reduced central vowel in some dialects) and a moderate consonant inventory. The language employs postpositional case marking, with pronouns that distinguish inclusive and exclusive first-person plural.

Social institution: In Suleti society, the sulet is a traditional form of mutual aid and cooperative labor binding extended families into a single network. Participation is formalized through ceremonies, reciprocal obligations, and seasonal cycles of work, tribute, and sharing of resources. Leadership tends to be mediated by elder councils and by family-based roles, with youth progressing through a sequence of apprenticeships.

Usage and reception: The term appears across worldbuilding materials, including fiction, game supplements, and encyclopedic guides, to convey a sense of communal cohesion and linguistic authenticity.
