Statsrådet is a term used in several Nordic countries, most notably Sweden and Norway, to refer to a member of the government. In Sweden, the term "statsråd" is the official title for a minister. The cabinet, collectively known as the government, is composed of these statsråd. The head of government in Sweden is the Prime Minister (statsminister), who is not typically referred to as a "statsråd" in the same way as other ministers, although they do hold a ministerial position.
