Skolinim is a municipality located in the central region of the Republic of Narvia, situated near the confluence of the Varan River and the limestone-rich hills that give the area its name. The settlement traces its origins to the early 18th century, when a group of Cistercian monks established a monastery that became the foundation for the town. Since then, the population has steadily grown, with the most recent census reporting approximately 4,200 residents. The local economy is primarily driven by agriculture and small-scale manufacturing; the surrounding fields produce wheat, barley, and rapeseed, while a number of family-owned workshops produce textiles and artisanal crafts.
