Skannitud is an Estonian adjective meaning "scanned," formed as the past participle of the verb skannima (to scan). It is used to describe items that have been converted from physical or analog form into a digital representation by a scanner.

In everyday and professional usage, skannitud describes documents, images, or other data that exist in digital form as a result of scanning. Common collocations include skannitud dokumendid (scanned documents) and skannitud pildid (scanned images). The term appears in library catalogs, archive inventories, and digital publishing workflows.

Digitization projects typically produce outputs as image files (for example TIFF or JPEG) and sometimes as PDFs. When optical character recognition (OCR) is applied, the resulting file can be searchable, such as a searchable PDF.
