Sinusoidális refers to anything related to or characterized by a sinusoid, a curve defined by a sine function. In mathematics and signal processing, a sinusoid is a function of time of the form y(t) = A sin(ωt + φ) or y(t) = A cos(ωt + φ), where A is the amplitude, ω is the angular frequency, and φ is the phase. Sinusoids are periodic and smooth, with a period T = 2π/ω, and a frequency f = ω/(2π).
