Estuaries are dynamic environments where freshwater rivers meet saltwater seas, leading to a complex mix of sediment types and deposition patterns. Deltas are formed at the mouths of rivers, where sediment load is deposited as the river enters a larger body of water. Wetlands, like swamps and marshes, are saturated with water, promoting the accumulation of organic-rich sediments.
