Santos is a city and port on the Atlantic coast of Brazil, located in the state of São Paulo. It hosts the Port of Santos, the busiest container port in Latin America, which handles a wide range of cargo including coffee, sugar, soy, vehicles, and other goods. The port and the city have long been tied to Brazil’s export economy, and the waterfront remains a focal point for commerce, transportation, and tourism.

Historically, Santos rose from a fishing village into an important commercial hub during the 19th and early 20th centuries, aided by coffee production and rail links.
