salaga
Salaga is a town in the East Gonja Municipal District of the Savannah Region of Ghana. It is located north of the Lake Volta, on the eastern side of the region. Historically, Salaga was a significant trading post, particularly known for its role in the slave trade during the pre-colonial and colonial eras. It was a major market where enslaved people from the north were brought to be sold to traders who would transport them south to the coast.
