Sahifasi is a Turkish possessive form derived from sahifa, a borrowed term of Arabic origin meaning page, leaf, or manuscript. The suffix -si (with appropriate vowel harmony) marks possession, so sahifası translates roughly as “its page” or “his/her page,” depending on the referent. In Turkish, sahifa itself appears mainly in historical, religious, or bibliographic contexts, while the everyday word for a page is sayfa.

The base noun sahifa carries a broader sense beyond a single sheet. It can refer to a page within a manuscript, a sheet of paper, or a section of a document. In classical Islamic literature, sahifa is used to denote significant written works or gatherings of pages, and several well-known titles incorporate the term Sahifa, such as Sahifa al-Sajjadiya, a collection of supplications attributed to Imam Zayn al-Abidin.
