Ruotsinsuomi refers to the Swedish-speaking population of Finland and their language. This linguistic and cultural group, also known as Finns of Swedish origin, has a long history in Finland, dating back to the medieval period when Sweden ruled over the territory. Today, Swedish is one of Finland's two official languages, alongside Finnish.
