Rugby playing is a team sport contested by two teams of fifteen players on a rectangular field. The objective of the game is to score points by carrying the ball and grounding it in the opposing team's in-goal area, or by kicking the ball through the opponent's goalposts. Players achieve this by running with the ball, passing it to teammates, and kicking it. The ball can only be passed backward or sideways, never forward. Tackling is a fundamental part of the game, where players attempt to stop the opponent carrying the ball by bringing them to the ground. Once a player is tackled, they must release the ball, and play continues.
There are several ways to score in rugby. A try is scored when a player grounds the
