rombikujuline

Rombikujuline is a term used in geometry to describe a figure that has the shape of a rhombus. The word is formed from romb-, meaning rhombus, and kujuline, meaning shaped, and is used in Estonian-language mathematical writing to denote rhombic forms.

A rombikujuline quadrilateral is a four-sided polygon with all sides of equal length and with opposite sides parallel. Its diagonals intersect at right angles and bisect the vertex angles. The area can be computed as half the product of the diagonals: A = (d1 × d2) / 2. If the angles are right angles, the rombikujuline becomes a square.

Rombikujulised shapes appear in mathematics education, tiling patterns (such as lozenge tilings), and in crystallography when referring to rhombohedral units. In design and art, diamond motifs are common examples of rombikujuline forms.
