roborovskii

Roborovskii is a lunar crater located in the southern hemisphere of the Moon's near side. It is named after the Russian astronomer and geophysicist Alexander Roborovski. The crater is situated to the southeast of the prominent crater Tycho, and to the northwest of the crater Birkeland. Roborovskii is a relatively young crater, with a well-defined rim and a central peak. The interior of the crater is relatively flat, with a few small craters scattered across its surface. The crater's floor is marked by a system of radial grooves, which are thought to have been formed by the impact that created the crater. Roborovskii is a prominent feature on the Moon's surface, and is often used as a reference point for lunar cartography. The crater is also of scientific interest, as it provides a window into the Moon's geological history.
